The Committee of the British Creditore in this

matter held a further Meeting at our offices this week. In view of previous interviews with you and the interest taken by your Department, we are sending you herewith copy of a letter dated August 20th, addressed by Messrs Lowe, Bingham & Matthewo to the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation.

This letter we have received during the course of this week from Mr. Carl Bunje who has been for many years connected with the above firm, and was Manager or Partner at Singapore at the

time War broke out.

Mr. Bunje came to London at the expense of the Committee in order to discuss the position and interests of the British Creditors and he left London for Singapore and
